RULING APPLICATION FOR AN ORDER OF MANDAMUS Upon a Motion on Notice filed in this registry on 07/03/12 and pursuant to leave of the court to amend the initial title of the case, the Applicant herein seeks an order of mandamus directed at the Director of Surveys of the Survey & Mapping Division of the Lands Commission to: “carry out its lawful mandate of mapping out the boundaries and reducing same into a cadastral plan”. It is alleged that the Survey & Mapping Division of the Lands Commission is violating its constitutional mandate by its inaction and has evinced every intention not to carry out the mapping and surveying of the land boundary between Gbawie and Weija until and unless compelled by a court of competent jurisdiction.
