EDWARD ANYINYA KOJO ACHAAB (PETITIONER) vs. FLORENCE AKANYACHAAB (RESPONDENT)

The Petitioner initiated these proceedings by a petition filed on the 14th January, 2011 praying that his marriage with the Respondent be dissolved. The Respondent filed an answer on the 25th January, 2011 and cross-petitioned for a dissolution of the marriage and any other order(s) or reliefs the court might deem fit to make. Both of the parties acted by counsel. When the Petitioner led evidence on the 8th December, 201, the petition was adjourned to the 12th January, 2012 for him to be cross-examined by the Respondent but counsel for the Respondent on that date declined to cross-examine the Petitioner and rather prayed for the dissolution of the marriage. Counsel expressly discontinued the claim for an ancillary relief.
