GODWIN ATIAKA vs. MISCAT CONSTRUCTION CO., MIKI

RULING The plaintiff sued the defendants for compensation and general damages. The plaintiff was injured while working at one of the defendants construction site, ie he fell from a 6th floor building. The defendants have raised the issue of jurisdiction under the workmen compensation. The following authorities were urged upon me. Justice Amenyaglo vrs. Ghana Breweries Ltd. Civil Appeal No. H1/171/2008 (unreported) Civil Appeal No. H1/200/2010 (unreported) of Hosam El-Halabi Vrs Sonitra Ltd. Based on this, I decline jurisdiction.
