JAMES ABORGAH vs. UNITED BANK FOR AFRICA (GH) LTD.

The Plaintiff, James Aborgah per writ of summons and statement of claim filed on 15th June, 2009 commenced the current action against the Defendant for the following reliefs: a. Recovery of GH¢890.04 being 50% of his salary for April 2009 the Defendant withheld. b. Recovery of the sum GH¢5,786.15 being outstanding balance of his gratuity for service with the Defendant. c. Interest on (a) and (b) above at the prevailing commercial rate from April 2009 to date of final payment. d. General damages for breach of contract. e. Costs. The Defendant entered appearance on 6th July, 2009 and went on to file its statement of defence on 23rd July, 2009 denying the claim of the Plaintiff.
