ADAM MOHAMMED vs. NATIONAL BOARD FOR SMALL SCALE INDUSTRIES (NBSSI)
The complainant, Adam Mohammed, alleged wrongful termination of his employment by the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) contrary to the Collective Agreement and relevant employment laws. He sought reinstatement and monetary compensation. NBSSI responded that termination was effected due to five alleged offenses including absenteeism, failure to perform duties, insubordination, disrespect to superiors, and unauthorized vehicle use without a valid license, based on a disciplinary committee's findings. The complainant appealed internally and to the Minister of Trade and Industry, but the termination stood pending further directives.
