The applicant has filed a Motion on Notice to Register and enforce an arbitration award under Section 57 of the ADR Act 2010 Act 798. Before this Court could hear the arguments, the respondents had filed a Motion for an Order of Judicial Review. Processes were stayed until the disposal of this motion for Judicial Review before the Fast Track High Court, Accra. The Fast Track High Court on the 30th day of January, 2014 presided over by Justice N. M. C Abodakpi gave his ruling dismissing the application as brought by the respondent’s herein. The learned Judge, concluded his reasoned Judgment stated “… but the application is not only incompetent, but lacks merit, for reasons stated above”. Section 57 provides thus:- (1) An award made by an arbitrator pursuant to an arbitration agreement may by leave of the High Court, be enforced in the same manner as a Judgment or Order of the Court of the same effect.
