STANBAY LTD vs. ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI GHANA LTD AND ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI IDUAPRIM LTD
The Plaintiff, Stanbay Ltd, contracted with the 2nd Defendant, AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem Ltd, to build 4 units of 2-bedroom houses at Mile 1, New Site Iduapriem, starting November 2011. Due to satisfactory performance, the Plaintiff was awarded an additional 4 units in January 2012 under the same contract. The total contract price was $524,951.84. The Defendants terminated the contract on 2nd May 2012, alleging unsatisfactory performance and delays. The Plaintiff claimed the termination was unlawful and sought damages and payment of the full contract price.
