MARGARET WELBOURNE (JA) This appeal emanates from the judgment of the High Court, Accra, dated 21st December, 2007, in favour of the plaintiff, now respondent against the defendants, now appellants. The Facts of the case It was the plaintiff’s case that his late father demised the subject property H/No C 263/3, Ring Road Central, Accra, to him in a will. In the lifetime of the deceased, his son Edwin T. Y. Adadevoh acting as caretaker, let the house to the 1st defendant for a term of ten years. The plaintiff pleaded that he gave six months’ notice of his intention not to renew the tenancy as it was his intention to pull down the building and reconstruct a new edifice. The reason being that the place is prone to frequent and periodic floods and has become a Central Commercial location.
