On the 24th day of June 2014, the Circuit Court, Asamankese entered judgment in favour of the Plaintiff/Respondent (hereinafter referred to as the Plaintiff) against the Defendant/Appellant (hereinafter referred to as the Defendant). This was after the Plaintiff sued the Defendant in the court below for defamation. The facts of this case which are very simple go like this: On the 17th day of July, 2013 Opanin Kwaku Abrokwah who hailed from Apremang, and the uncle of Plaintiff and father of Defendant, went to farm and he did not return. Search parties despatched to search for the Defendant’s father proved futile. Chiefs and the Police were informed of the disappearance of Opanin Kwaku Abrokwah. After a fruitless search, it was suggested to the Plaintiff by a friend to consult a fetish priest who recommended the pouring of libation in the house of the missing person so that the body could manifest itself.
