MERCY BORTEY (PLAINTIFF) vs. AFRICAN ORIGIN TRAVELS AND SPORTS TOURISM LIMITED (DEFENDANT)
The Plaintiff, on the 11th of February, 2013, issued a writ of summons and Statement of Claim against the Defendant for the following reliefs; a) An order directed at the Defendant to refund an amount of £2,000(two thousand pounds) or its cedi equivalent being monies had and received by the Defendant to enable the Plaintiff and her son watch the Olympic Games in the United Kingdom which never materialized. b) Interest on relief (a) from September 2012 to the date of final payment. c) Damages for breach of contract. THE PLAINTIFF’S CASE The Plaintiff’s case, to sum up, is that in January, 2011, following public advertisement offering prospective applicants a trip to watch the London Olympic Games, she opted to participate with her nine-year old son.
