SUMAILA S. SAAKA vs. WORLD VISION (GHANA) LTD AND ROGER APURI
The plaintiff is 47 years old and, until he got injured in an accident in Niamey, Niger, in September, 2008 was in employment as Hygiene Behaviour Change Specialist for West Africa Water Initiative (WAWI), a Water and Sanitation Partnership, operating in Ghana, Niger and Mali of which the first defendant is the lead partner. As a result of serious injuries he suffered in the accident he is now out of employment. The first defendant is a Non-Governmental Organisation registered under the laws of Ghana and has an office located here in Bolgatanga, headed by an Operations Team Leader. The second defendant is a driver by profession in the employment of first defendant and was driving first defendant’s Toyota Landcruiser number GR 3116 R with plaintiff on board when the accident occurred.
