JOHN PAUL DINYE vs ASPAC INTERNATIONAL
The plaintiff was employed by the defendant and designated as a Project Manager. His employment was regulated by a contract of employment dated 27th July, 2012. This relationship was abruptly terminated by the defendant on grounds of incompetence. The plaintiff, not satisfied with his termination, has brought the present action seeking the following reliefs against the defendant as per his amended statement of claim: “ a) A declaration that the termination of his contract by the defendant company was wrongful and unjust and in contravention of his Fundamental Human Rights as enshrined in the 1992 Constitution as well as the Labour Act, 2003, Act 651. b) An order directed at the defendant to pay GH₵80,000.00 as general and punitive damages for breach of contract. c) A further order directed at the defendant company to pay GH₵20,000.00 as loss of income and employment. d) The legal cost of this suit. e) Any other order or orders as to this honourable Court seem just.” Fr...
