DR. BONAVENTURE ALIGEBAM AND UNIVERSITY OF GHANA

DECISION INTRODUCTION By a complaint dated 14th May 2015 and lodged with the Commission on the 20th May 2015, Dr. Bonaventure Aligebam (Complainant) alleged that his appointment with University of Ghana (Respondent) as a Research Fellow was not confirmed resulting in his appointment being terminated by the Respondent. He intimated that efforts made by him to get the matter resolved by the Respondent were all in vain. He therefore filed this complaint for the Commission to investigate and resolve the matter. THE COMPLAINANT'S CASE The Complainant is a former Research Fellow of the College of Basic and Applied Science; (the College) at the University of Ghana, Legon. He indicated that in August 2014; he received a letter stating non-confirmation of his appointment, and by the University's procedure, letters regarding confirmation of appointments are supposed to be out by the end of July, but this letter came out rather later.
