JUDGMENT The Plaintiff in this action has sued the Defendant for the following reliefs: “a) Recovery of cash the sum of Seventy-four Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHȼ74,000.00) being the amount paid to the Defendant for the said Vehicle and the cost of repairs. b) Interest on the sum of Seventy-four Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHȼ74, 000.00) being claimed at the commercial bank rate from 28th November, 2013 up to date of final payment. c) Damages for deceit. d) Any order as this Court shall deem fit” The facts as disclosed by the Plaintiff’s statement of claim are fairly simple. In or about November 2013, the Defendant approached the Plaintiff, a contractor engaged in the business of construction and the supply of sand and stones that he had for sale a Mercedes Benz truck.
