JUDGMENT Per his writ of summons the Plaintiff claims the following reliefs against the Defendant: A. General Damages for unlawful termination. B. Recovery of all Plaintiff’s entitlements per the contract signed with the Defendant. C. Cost including solicitor’s fees. It is salient to note that notwithstanding the service of numerous hearing notices on the Defendant to attend court to contest Plaintiff’s claim they failed to do so. The court therefore proceeded with the trial under order 36 of C. I. 47. In his testimony to the court, the Plaintiff stated that on the 2nd of January, 2013 he entered into a contract of employment with the Defendant for a two year period as an executive chef. See Exhibit A, a copy of the employment contract. And that his contract could only be terminated after a year because his services as a chef was highly sought after all over the country.
