JUDGMENT Introductory background [1] This is an appeal from the decision of the Amasaman Circuit Court, presided over by Her Honour Justice Eva Bannerman-Williams, delivered on 28th August 2015. [2] The brief facts of the case as found by the trial court are that on 1 October 2014 at about 11:20 am, the Complainant (Francis Christian Briandt), a banker, was at his ACP Ridge home with his family when he heard the sound of their door bell. He asked for the identity of the person at the gate, to which a male voice responded that he was a worker of the Electricity Company of Ghana. When the Complainant opened the main gate, the Appellant and another at large, rushed into the house and pointed pistols at him. They marched the complainant into the house and robbed him of his flat screen television, two laptops, three mobile phones, two wedding rings with their value stated on the charge sheet and a cash the sum of GH¢ 140.00.
