RULING FACTS [1] The complainant in this case Edward Duah Agyemang is a former Auditor General, whilst the Accused person Lewis Yaw Oppong is the nephew to the spouse of the said complainant. The Accused person had been living with the complainant and his spouse since 2004 and had access to all the rooms in the house. The Accused person was also in charge of a shop which was owned by the spouse of the complainant. [2] Sometime in 2006, the spouse of the complainant detected a drop in sales in her shop and informed the complainant who assisted her financially to restock her shop. The couple also noticed that some monies had gone missing in their room. In October 2008, the complainant noticed that his ECOBANK credit card which he kept in his bedroom had gone missing, and a statement on transactions received from the said bank on his credit card revealed that there had been some withdrawals on the credit card between the 10th of November, 2008 and the 26th of November, 2008 totalling T...
