By an amended writ of summons the plaintiff claims against the 1st and the 2nd defendants: Payment of the sum of US$6,775,269.90 (Six Million, Seven Hundred and Seventy-five Thousand, Two Hundred and Sixty-Nine United States Dollars and Ninety Cents) or its equivalent in Ghana Cedi from the date of the commencement of this suit until judgment. Interest on same at the prevailing Bank rate from the date of the commencement of this suit till date of judgment and thereafter, at the court approved rate until final payment. Payment of the sum of USD208,796.61 or its equivalent in Ghana cedi being additional expenses incurred by Plaintiff and arising out of the unlawful detention of the “MT OLYMPIC FAITH” and at a time when the Time Charter Agreement between the parties had expired.
