BACKGROUND On 6th February, 2015 the Plaintiff instituted the present action against the Defendant herein. The Plaintiff’s claim, as captured in the writ of summons is for the following reliefs: a) An order for the recovery of cash, the sum of Six Thousand Four Hundred and Fifty Four British Pounds (£6,454.00) or its cedis equivalent being outstanding balance for the payment of goods supplied to the Defendant by the Plaintiff and which the defendant undertook to pay the Plaintiff by 30th day of June 2014 but has failed despite repeated demands. b) Interest on the said amount from the 30th June 2014 at the prevailing bank rate till the time of final payment. The writ of summons was accompanied by a statement of claim. Per the statement of claim, the plaintiff’s claims hinge on the fact that he supplied goods worth Thirty Two Thousand Six Hundred and Ninety Three British Pounds (£32,693.00) to the Defendant.
