AKUA ODAI vs. LUIS DENTEH AND SYLVESTER AGBELI-GABRIELLA
The Plaintiff, as sole administratrix of the estate of her deceased brother James Amponsah, brought an action against the Defendants following a fatal motor accident on 13 May 2017. The deceased was a passenger in a Mercedes Benz bus driven by the 1st Defendant and owned by the 2nd Defendant. The bus collided with a stationary articulated truck parked on the road at night near Suhum. The deceased died on the spot, and other passengers were injured. The Plaintiff alleged negligence on the part of the 1st Defendant for driving at excessive speed and failing to apply brakes, resulting in the accident and death. She claimed damages for loss of dependency, funeral and hospital expenses, and interest.
