This case has come about as a result of a purported agreement for the sale of the Defendant’s house as well as a supposed agreement to procure travel documents for the Defendant’s son, which fell through. By the endorsement on the writ of summons filed on 22/12/2016, the Plaintiff sought the following reliefs from the Defendant: a) The sum of eighty-nine thousand Ghana Cedis being the amount due and owing. b) Commercial interest on the said amount from October, 2014 to the date of final payment. c) Legal fees being 20% of the amount due and owing. d) General damages for breach of contract. e) Two thousand British pounds sterling being the cost of air fare incurred by the Plaintiff for two return trips from the UK to Ghana in respect of the negotiations. f) Costs.
