BIZGEO COMPANY LIMITED (PLAINTIFF) vs. ADANSI GOLD COMPANY LIMITED (DEFENDANT)

This is an application for stay of the judgment dated 16th April 2018 and orders setting aside the Entry of Judgment filed on 17th May 2018 and for an order determining the relevant interest rate. I have examined the application and the affidavits filed by both parties. Having listened to both Counsel on the matter, it is my view that this is a proper case for me to refer the determination of the interest rate as at 16th April 2018 to the Bank of Ghana for assistance. In the circumstance, the Registrar is hereby ordered to seek the assistance of the Bank of Ghana in the determination of the dollar interest rate pertained in the US as at 16th April 2018 on Commercial transactions by the Federal Reserve. Any cost arising therefrom be borne by both parties. Case is adjourned to 17th July 2018.
