The core issue which I have to determine in this case is as to how much rent is to be imposed on the property the subject matter of the lease. By their amended Writ of Summons, filed on the 19th April, 2017, the Plaintiffs asked for the following reliefs: (a) A declaration that the Defendant is estopped by conduct from disputing the rental money due Plaintiffs for the year 2015 in the sum of USD2,000 per month totalling USD24,000 per year. (b) An order directed at the Defendant to pay the Plaintiffs an amount of USD24,000 being rent owed for the year 2015 in respect of House No. 17, Chatfield Avenue, Adabraka.
