This is an appeal from the decision of the Zebilla District Court presided by His Worship Francis Asakeya dated 30th August, 2017. The plaintiffs/respondents, to be referred to hereafter as the respondents, took out a civil summons from the lower court against the defendant/appellant, to be referred to as the appellant, claiming the following reliefs: 1. An order compelling the defendant to retract the libellous and slanderous comments and action made by the defendant against the plaintiffs which has (sic) tarnished the hard worn 2. (sic) reputation or character of plaintiffs, which turns (sic) to be “DEFAMATORY COMMENTS AND ACTION” 3. An order compelling defendants to explain the said malicious words of defamatory and apologise (sic), “YOU ARE ARMED ROBBERS, HOLDING GUNS TO ROB AND KILL ME AT WIDNABA’S ROAD HENCE I GOT YOU ARRESTED AND LOCKED YOU UP” 4.
