TAILORED SOLUTIONS MICROFINANCE CO. LTD. vs. EXPRESS SAVINGS AND LOANS LTD

On March 15, 2018, I went ahead and entered judgment in favour of the Plaintiff/Applicant (hereinafter, the “Applicant”) in respect of its reliefs (a) and (b) endorsed on its Writ of Summons and the accompanying Statement of claim and awarded costs of Three Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢3,000.00) in its favour against the Defendant/Respondent (hereinafter, “Respondent”) as prayed for in its application for Summary Judgment but reserved my reasons to be delivered later, which I now proceed to do in this Ruling. In this application for Summary Judgment the Applicant prays the Court to enter judgment summarily against the Respondent for the liquidated reliefs endorsed on its Writ of Summons, to wit: “(a) Payment of the sum of One Hundred and Seventy Seven Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy Three Ghana Cedis, Ninety Seven Pesewas (GH¢177,673.97).
