HENRY A. KWOFIE (JA): This is an appeal against the judgment of the High Court, Accra dated the 22nd March 2016. The plaintiff by a Writ of Summons filed on the 4th of June 2012 claimed against the defendants the following reliefs; 1) A declaration that the grant on 8th December, 2011 of three (3) prospecting licensees by the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources to the 1st Defendant for the exploration of iron at the Sheini Hills in the Zabzugu/Tatale District of the Northern Region is unlawful, as being fraudulently obtained as well as contrary to the provisions of the Minerals and Mining Act 2006 (Act 703) and therefore null and void and of no effect. 2) A declaration that the Plaintiff is entitled to be granted a prospecting license or licenses for the exploration of iron ore at Sheini Hills of the Northern Region. 3) An order revoking the three prospecting licenses granted to the 1st Defendant for the exploration of iron at the Sheini Hills of the Northern Region. ...
