ADJEI, J.A: The attention of the Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Council was called to a publication made by the Law Gazette, a London-based newspaper, dated 24th February, 2011 which stated that the name of Samuel Victor Koranteng had been struck off the Roll of Solicitors practicing in England and Wales. The Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Council wrote to the said Samuel Victor Koranteng to offer an explanation to the findings made against him as a result of which his name was struck off the Roll of Solicitors practicing in England and Wales. He offered a detailed explanation as to his conviction and further indicated that he had appealed against the decision of the Tribunal in England and Wales to the Administrative Court of the Royal Courts of Justice. In this ruling, Samuel Victor Koranteng will be referred to as “the Respondent” and the Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Council as “the Applicant”. The Respondent’s name was stru...
