I have had ample time to peruse the affidavit filed in support of the convict’s application filed on 25 February 2019 for extension of time to appeal to this court from the judgment of the District Court, Teshie-Nungua that was given on 5 Feb 2019. I wonder the basis, indeed the ripeness of the application at the time applicant filed the application. This is because, the one month period for filing appeal had not lapsed at the time applicant sought to file this application for extension of time.
