Introduction: [1] It recalls that on May 2, 2017 the Plaintiff claimed against the Defendant the following: a) An order for an outstanding sum of GH¢173,520.51 b) Interest on the principal sum from the due date till date of final payment. c) Cost [2] After the service of the writ and its accompanying statement of claim on the Defendant, Appearance was entered on May 10, 2017 after which a statement of defence was filed by the Defendant on May 24, 2017. The record shows that after the service of the Defendant’s Statement of Defence on Plaintiff’ Counsel, there was a lull in the proceedings until the Plaintiff filed an application for directions on October 12, 2017. ii.
