Recovery of the sum of $163,016.70 owed by the defendant to the plaintiff for work done on a guarantee letter dated 18th May 2012. b. Interest on the sum of $163,016.70 from 1st October 2012 to the date of final payment c. Damages. After the close of pleadings and the inability of the parties to settle their differences at pre-trial, issues were set down for trial at which each of the parties gave evidence through its representative and closed their case. The court finds from the pleadings that it is not in dispute that the plaintiff was engaged by the defendant to construct a hospital at Wa in the Upper West Region of Ghana in 2012 as evidenced by a contract signed by the parties and exhibited as exhibit D by the plaintiff herein.
