TRUE COLOUR EVENTS (PLAINTIFF) vs. GLOBACOM LIMITED & OTHERS (DEFENDANTS)

The plaintiff is an entity domiciled in South Africa whiles the 1st and the 2nd defendant are a limited liability company and the Chief Executive Officer respectively and also ordinarily resident in Nigeria. The 3rd defendant is an incorporated entity registered under the laws of Ghana and a sister company to the 1st defendant. The plaintiff and the 1st defendant entered into a contract under which the plaintiff was engaged to organize four (4) events to be staged in Accra, Ghana in order to launch the 3rd defendant, a telecommunication company onto the Ghanaian market. The 1st defendant caused about eighty (80%) of the financial outlay to be paid to the plaintiff to enable the organization of the events. The plaintiff, subsequently, shipped some equipment from South Africa to Ghana meant for the organization of the events.
