On 4th May 2016, this Court’s original jurisdiction was invoked by the Plaintiff. On the endorsement on the Writ of Summons were the following reliefs: a. Payment of GH₵479,685.43 as outstanding rent and utilities for Shop No. 005 consumed by the Defendant as at 1st May 2016 b. The payment of US$14,358.61 and GH ₵31,862.48 as outstanding rent and utilities respectively for Shop No. 62 consumed by the Defendant as at 1st May 2016 c. Interests on reliefs (b) and (c) (sic) at the prevailing bank rate of the Plaintiff’s bank d. Breach of Contract e. Costs inclusive of solicitors fees; and f. Any other order (s) this Honourable Court may deem fit. An appearance was entered on behalf of the Defendant by Abubakari Alhassan Abdulai and on 6th February 2017, the Defendant filed his Statement of Defence plus a Counterclaim.
