On 20th April 2015, the Plaintiff issued from the registry of this Court, a Writ of Summons and a Statement of Claim seeking the following reliefs: a. A Declaration of title to a 0.28 acre land situate and lying at Mallam in the Greater Accra Region b. An order for recovery of possession of the above mentioned land. c. Damages for breach of promise and/or trespass. d. Perpetual injunction against the Defendant e. Costs. The Defendant initially entered personal appearance before he engaged his current lawyer. On 23rd June 2017, the lawyer filed a Statement of Defence on behalf of the Defendant, which contained a Counterclaim against the Plaintiff for the recovery of loans amounting to GH₵2,000.00 and his room in his family house. The Plaintiff filed a Reply to the Defence and Counterclaim and thereafter directions were taken on 5th February 2018. The issues adopted by the Court for determination were: a.
