On the 4th day of April, 2017 the Plaintiffs instituted the present action against the Defendant. The case of the Plaintiffs as captured by their Statement of Claim is that they are the lawful owners of the parcel of land located at Achimota, Accra and described in the schedule below and bring this action on behalf of the Hansen Sackey Family of Accra and that the Defendants are the Trustees of the Catholic Church at Achimota, Accra. It is the case of the Plaintiffs that their family (i.e. The Hansen Sackey Family of Accra) inherited the subject land from the grandfather of the late James Hansen Sackey by a Will in 1926. The Plaintiffs say, in the said Will of the late Hansen Sackey made in 1926, the disputed property, among others was devised to the Plaintiffs’ family.
