JOSEPH HAROLD WADIE vs. ELECTRICITY CO. (GH) LTD
The Plaintiff, Joseph Harold Wadie, is a pensioner while the Defendant is a company incorporated under the laws of Ghana with the duty to provide electricity for public consumption. Plaintiff’s case is that he is the owner of a parcel of land measuring 0.16 acres situate at Agbogbloshie on which he has put up a five (5) storey building which he intends to use as a hotel. The said land is covered by Land Title Certificate No. 17010 issued on 3rd March 2004. According to the Plaintiff, sometime in July 2016, he had a call from one Mr. Nai Operpeh Omai III, maintenance engineer of the Electricity Company, who requested for the purchase of a section of his land to be used by the Defendant for the installation of two (2) electricity transformers for the expansion of a nearby sub-station.
