AGYEMAN PAMBUO NANA FREDUA vs. FIRST ALLIED SAVINGS AND LOANS LIMITED

This is an applicant for an order of the court to enter summary judgment against the Defendant on the ground that the statement of defense discloses no defence to the action. The application is premised on Order 14 rule 1 of the High Court Civil Procedure Rules, 2004 (CI 47). On 28th September 2019, the Plaintiff/Applicant (hereinafter referred to as the Plaintiff) filed a writ of summons against the Defendant/Respondent (hereinafter referred to as the Defendant) for: a. Recovery of the sum of GHC 233,712.30 being the amount owed to the Plaintiff by Defendant by virtue of GHC 120,000 invested in the Defendant company on 19th May 2018 respectively to mature on 18th August 2018 and 18th September 2018 at an interest rate of 25% per tenure but which amount the defendant has failed to pay to the Plaintiff. b.
