The Appellant was convicted by the High Court, Accra on 17th January 2007 for the offences of conspiracy to commit crime to wit robbery contrary to sections 23(1) and 149 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) and robbery contrary to the same enactment and sentenced to fifty years and sixty years imprisonment with hard labour consecutively to run concurrently. This is an appeal against the said sentence. The Appellant who was the 3rd Accused in the trial court was charged jointly with six other persons for the said offences. The facts culminating in this appeal are as follows: The complainant, Seth Narh, Managing Director of Senaky Enterprise on 30th January, 2002 requested his wife Rose Narh and two other workers of the company to convey an amount of One Hundred and Twenty Million old cedis (ȼ120,000,000.00) being the day’s proceeds to their house at Official Town, Ashiaman.
