EDMUND DJOMOAH (Suing as the Administrator of the Estate of GEOFFREY FRANCIS DJOMOAH) vs. SOCIETE GENERALE, GHANA
The plaintiff, Edmund Djomoah, as co-administrator of the estate of his late father Geoffrey Francis Djomoah, sought the release of original property documents held by the defendant bank. The defendant claimed the documents were held as security for a loan granted to Attaah Ottutuah Company Limited, secured by a mortgage allegedly signed by the plaintiff and his sister Vida Djomoah. The plaintiff denied knowledge of the mortgage and alleged the signatures were forged.

RELIEFS SOUGHT On the 28th day of September 2017, the plaintiff issued a writ against the defendant herein for the following reliefs:- (a) An order directing the defendant to release the original documents covering House number 15, 1st Abeka Close, West Tesano, Accra, consisting of a conveyance dated 14th August 1966 between F.K. Anani Ziddah and G. F. Djomaoah and the site plan attached thereto to the plaintiff forthwith. (b) Cost including cost of instituting this suit. (c) Any other reliefs as the honourable court may deem fit. The plaintiff averred in his statement of case that he is the co-administrator of the estate of the late Geoffrey Francis Djomoah who happened to be his father. He mentioned the other administrators as his sister Vida Djomoah and one Philip Owusu Koranteng who is now deceased.
