HIGH TRUST GHANA LTD. vs. ACCRA METROPOLITAN ASSEMBLY

This application is a request by the garnishee applicant (the Bank of Ghana) for an order to set aside aspects of this Court’s order dated the 18th of November, 2019. In that order dated the 18th of November, 2019, this Court ordered the applicant herein to reverse two debit entries that had been made on Account No 108431479133 belonging to the defendant/judgment debtor and which account is domiciled at the Bank of Ghana. The said two debit entries involved two different amounts namely GHȻ805,573.01 and GHȻ5,000.00 and the Court ordered the applicant to pay the said amounts to the plaintiff/judgment creditor. In addition, the Court also made an order that an amount of GHȻ5,248.50 which was in the account of the defendant/judgment debtor should be paid to the plaintiff/judgment creditor.
