i. Background: [1] The Plaintiffs instituted the substantive action on December 11, 2017 per a writ of summons issued from the registry of this Court against the Defendant for the judicial reliefs endorsed thereon. The Defendant retained Counsel who entered appearance on his behalf and later filed a statement of Defence to the claim. After the close of pleadings the matter was set down for trial and same has since commenced. The 1st Plaintiff testified on her own behalf and for the other Plaintiffs. She was cross-examined by Defendant’s Counsel after which the Plaintiffs closed their case. [2] The Defendant opened his case by calling his grantor who testified for him and was cross-examined by Counsel for the Plaintiffs. The Defendant himself has testified and completed his testimony after he was cross-examined by the Plaintiffs’ Counsel. The suit was thereafter adjourned to July 20, 2020 for the continuation of the trial and for the Defendant to call his next witness. On July ...
