THOMAS SILAS BENTIL vs. VERONICA BENTIL
The parties were married on 23rd November 2003 under the Marriages Act. They cohabited in Accra and had four children, the youngest being a minor at the time of the petition. The petitioner alleged the marriage had irretrievably broken down due to the respondent's adultery and unreasonable behaviour, including verbal and physical abuse, and claimed the youngest child was not his biological child. The respondent denied these allegations and counter-petitioned alleging the petitioner's unreasonable behaviour and physical assault. The respondent failed to attend trial or file witness statements.
