JUDGMENT These 2 suits referred to supra were consolidated pursuant to an order of this court made 03/12/2018. The dispute in each case concerns claim for compensation for coconut trees belonging to the plaintiffs and other persons that defendants destroyed to pave way for a gas and power project but for which they claim never received any compensation therefor. In the first suit, ie No. MISC 15/16, the plaintiff claims against the defendants for: a) Recovery of compensation for the compulsory acquisition of 48.78 acres of farm lands which had some coconut trees on it and destruction of same without paying compensation for the coconut trees for the installation of Thermal Plants in the Domunli Gas and Power Processing Project at the Jomoro District, Western Region. b) Any other reliefs deemed appropriate to the court.
