The Plaintiff herein is a company registered under the laws of Ghana and involved in the sale of household appliances and other consumables whiles the Defendants are traders and ‘statutory tenants’ of the Plaintiff, occupying its property situate at Bannerman Road with the digital address GA-326-6855. The material facts giving rise to this action are simple and pretty straight forward. The Defendants who are tenants of the Plaintiff residing in the property situate at Bannerman Road, the subject matter of the suit herein, had their tenancies expiring respectively in 2006. At that time, several notices were served on them to give up possession, however, they failed or refused to do same despite the leeway given them by the Plaintiff in a bid to get them to vacate, which includes a grace period of six (6) months to enable them pay their arrears between 2006 and 2012 and also to look for alternative accommodation.
