JUDGMENT BY K.N. ADUAMA OSEI This Suit was commenced by a Writ of Summons, with a Statement of Claim attached, which was issued in this Court on the 22nd of April, 2009. The Plaintiff is a citizen of Ghana and a lawyer by profession and he stated in his Statement of Claim that in April, 2001, he was appointed to the governing Board of the Bank of Ghana for a three-year term and in May, 2007, he was again appointed to serve on the Board for another term of three years, commencing from 1st May, 2007. His term on the Board was therefore to end on 30th April, 2010. The Plaintiff said that on the 28th of January, 2009, he received a letter from the Secretary of the Board notifying all members of the Board, including himself, that by a presidential directive, all Boards of state institutions had been dissolved, for which reason the 569th meeting of the Board of the Bank had been cancelled.
