CLOSURE REPORT INTRODUCTION: The above stated verbal complaint was lodged by Joyce Annan (the Complainant) against James Annan (the Respondent) alleging non-maintenance of their two Children. The case was lodged and received by the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (the Commission) on the 22nd September, 2020. The Complainant prayed the Commission to compel the Respondent to take up his fatherly responsibilities. SUMMARY OF COMPLAINT: The Complainant has two children with the Respondent. The Complainant alleged that, the Respondent has refused to take care of the Children financially and has relinquished his duties as a father. She wants the Commission to compel the Respondent to maintain the Children. LIEF (S) SOUGHT: The Complainant prayed the Commission to compel the Respondent to take up his fatherly responsibilities.
