JOSEPH WHITTAL DECISION INTRODUCTION On 22nd July 2019, the Commission received this complaint from Liebherr-Ghana Limited (LGL) alleging sexual harassment allegedly perpetrated by Joseph Bentum Mensah (Respondent), a senior staff member of LGL stationed at Tarkwa. The allegation was made by Juliana Esi Taylor (Complainant), who is a Warehouse Person of LGL. It is noteworthy to indicate that, the allegation of sexual harassment was first brought to the notice of Management of LGL in a petition lodged on behalf of the Complainant by the General Manufacturing and Metal Workers Union (GMMWU). Consequently, Management of LGL requested the Complainant and Respondent for their responses on the matter after which the two employees were interdicted. Subsequently, LGL lodged this complaint with the Commission to investigate the allegation and make the necessary pronouncement on the matter.
