JUDGMENT This is an appeal against the judgment of the Circuit Court, Asamankese, Eastern Region. The appellant was arraigned before the Circuit Court, Asamankese on a charge of Negligently Causing Harm contrary to section 72 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29). On the day of his appearance before the Court for his plea to be taken, he pleaded guilty to the charges and the Trial Judge proceeded to convict and sentenced him to three years imprisonment in hard labour. It is against this sentence that the instant appeal has been brought. The facts which led to the conviction and sentence are that the appellant is a driver and resides at Asamankese. On 31st October 2020 about 4.30p.m., he was in charge Toyota Corolla saloon car with registration number ER 52-18 travelling from Nsawam direction towards Asamankese. On reaching Mepom in a curve he veered off to his near side edge when facing Asamankese direction and knocked down two female children Christiana Dorgbevu aged 8 years...
