FREDERICK AYENSU vs. GOLDEN SUNBEAM INTERNATIONAL

The National Labour Commission at its sitting of 19th May, 2021 heard the complaint over "Salary Arrears" lodged by Frederick Ayensu, Complainant against Golden Sunbeam International, Respondent. The Complainant submitted that: 1. He was appointed as Head of Academics and Assistant Lecturer on 8th April, 2014. 2. At the time, the school was only running certificate in healthcare program and therefore he became the Head of Program and a Lecturer. 3. During the same period, the college was working on getting accreditation to pursue BSc. Nursing, Diploma Nursing, BSc. Agribusiness and Diploma Agribusiness program and therefore he worked tirelessly to make sure this happened. 4. He was later issued with a new appointment letter on 17th March, 2015 with a monthly salary of GH¢2,500. 5. From January 2016, he was paid half salary until June 2016 when he was given a letter to go and look for job elsewhere. 6. He again resumed working as a lecturer in October 2016. 7. H....
