RE: IN THE MATTER OF JAMES TAWIAH & OSMAN ADAMA vs. ABOSO GOLDFIELDS LIMITED

On 2nd February, 2019, James Tawiah and Osman Adama, Complainants, filed a complaint against Aboso Goldfields limited, Respondent. The dispute was over a claim of "Dismissal" from employment by the Respondent Company. The National Labour Commission heard the dispute on 11th August, 2021 at which both parties were present and/or represented. Complainants' case The Complainants' submitted as follows that: 1. They were employed by the Respondent as follows: (i) Osman Adama - 21st April, 2008 as Forklift Operator and (ii) James Tawiah – 21st April, 2008 as Inventory Assistant. 2. They were dismissed from employment on July 26, 2018 without any benefit for an offence they did not commit. 3. The reason for their dismissal according to the Respondent was that, on April 23, 2018, James Tawiah instructed his store-keepers (Justice Nyankson & Osman Adama) to move obsolete items from the stock yard into the obsolete containers without authorization from the Supply Chain Manager.....
