CLOSURE REPORT INTRODUCTION Gifty Baidoo (Complainant) lodged a complaint against Patrick Kwesi Poku (Respondent) at the Commission on 29th May 2021 alleging non-maintenance of their child. COMPLAINANT POSITION The Complainant bad a twelve (12) year old son with the Respondent who used to cater for the Complainant during and after the pregnancy until he had to travel to Belgium. The Respondent provided for all her needs and subsequently named the child after her delivery. However, the Respondent changed his attitude towards the Complainant and the child after the wife of the Respondent realized the Respondent had a child with the Complainant. The Respondent stopped contacting the Complainant and did not also respond to the Complainant's calls either, leaving the entire burden on the Complainant to care for their child.
